Blayne and Brother do it better.

Two week long work trip and then moving into a new place has kept me from fun things, like, TV watching, blogging, movie viewing. But watch out Bitches, I'm back. (I mean bitches as the most sincere sentiment). Also, I'm still reeling from the finale of Pretty Little Liars. If you watch the show, then you know they use the words Bitches a lot. And sometimes, I like to pretend I'm A. Moving on.

First, my new place is awesome. I will be excited to be fully unpacked and party ready. I will post pictures soon.

Second, I was able to catch up on some shows last night. I still have a plethora of viewing, but for now, lets talk....
Good Christian Bitches (GCB). I was utterly disappointed with the latest episode. It was over the top, even for the campy soapy show that it is. The character Crickett is fastly climbing the ladder of most awesome characters. LOVE her.

Smash. I can not express enough times how in love I am with this show. I'm always angry when it ends. STOP ending! Just keep playing their lives all day and then pause for me to sleep.

Lastly, Glee. Glee has been on its month long hiatus. And it came back in the form of Blayne's brother. Whoa! That boy is hot and can sing. I'd like a miniature version of him on my night stand and I'd click a little switch and a recorded version of Somebody that I used to know would play over and over.
Speaking of that song. I don't listen to the radio or watch MTV or any other music viewing station, so I'm new to this song. However, before hearing Glee's version of the song, I had recently become obsessed with the original. Then Blayne and his brother sang it and, shhhhh, I like their version better. They added a power to the song that doesn't exist in the original.
For those of you that live in a cave and have never heard the original (my parents) I'm giving you a side by side (or top on top). Compare it yourself. I dare you to tell me I'm wrong.
First video is Glee.

So much to see, so little time to write it out

I've been out and about working a lot. I've missed shows and my heart has weeped. A show I haven't missed? SMASH!
Holy shit Batman, could Smash be any better? I don't think so. I'm mesmerized by every character and every song that is sung. Last weeks episode brought a tear to my eye when the Joe DiMaggio character sang his heart breaking song about Marilyn. Wow. Power house singer on TV.
I'm SO happy to have read that Smash has already been picked up for a season 2. Yay!!!
I'll be back in the full mix of TV and movie watching in a weeks time. Stay tuned my loyal readers.
Till then,
you know I love you
xoxo

Addendum to 'Smah'ing into my Heaven

I watched the full pilot and I am very pleased.
I'm almost mad at myself for watching it early cause now I have a super long time till episode 2.  Umph.

I give two musical singing thumbs way up. And I recommend the show to anyone who likes musicals, drama, or pretty women dancing around. :)

Tune into Smash Feb 6! (check local listings for time.)

"Smash"ing into my Heaven.

Today started wonderfully. Puppies and Kitties and Husbands and Waffles. A nice clean 3 pages written. And then a flash hit me and I got all riled up. About what? About the mid season show debuting on Feb. 6 called Smash
I first learned of this show months and months back, but I had to keep my excitement at bay so I didn't explode in the time leading up to the premiere. But today, it hit me. Feb. 6 is right around the corner and I can start letting my excitement shower out from the heavens and sprinkle down upon all unsuspecting.
Let me just say a few single word sentences that describe the show and my excitement.

Singing. Marilyn. Broadway. Drama. Anjelica. Dance.
To clear it up: This TV show is about the making of a Broadway Musical about Marilyn Monroe. !!!!!!!!!!!

I literally think someone jumped into my heaven and brought it down to NBC and produced this upcoming Smash (Double entendre intended).

For those of you so anxious you can't sleep at night, you'll be happy to learn that you can watch the pilot episode at NBC.com.
I shall do so today. As soon as I hit my 10 pages written. (7 to go!)
For the purist that like to wait till the TV premiere, why don't you take a look at the trailer. Just for an extra excitement in your hum drum Thursday.
