I've been spending the last month so focused on the short "I'm Sorry For..." that I hadn't really prepped for what was next. Now, here I am, sitting at home, blogging and wondering. I'd like to take a cue from my favorite TV show (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and say or really quote...
"Where do we go from here? The battles done and we kinda won so we sound our victory cheer. Where do we go from here? Why is the path unclear, when we know hope is near. Understand we go hand in hand, but we walk alone in fear. Where do we go from here?"
I do love the musical episode. A decade later and I'm still enthralled with that episode.
Now, back to the business of where in the hell do I go from here?
Step 1. Watch some wonderfully ridiculous shows like my favorite gems, Gossip Girl and 90210.
Step 2. Shower? (Up for debate)
Step 3. Eat lunch
Step 4. Take long walk while listening to music.
Step 5. Sit in front of my brooding last written script and fix it. This step may take several days, months.
I reckon those are my five simple steps. For now. To be terribly cheesy; I'm not Buffy. I know where I'm suppose to go from here. It's time for a feature. A feature film. Cause, I can't die until I've completed at least one feature film.
Whew, that was almost some heavy shit. I shall now go complete
Step 1.

We my not have $50k, but we have this....color us happy
The LA film prize is done. We didn't win, but I know the film connected with people. The team had a wonderful time this past weekend. Drinking, making new friends, laughing. It is the things happy lives are made of ;)
Imagine my happy life surprised to get a lovely review on Indiewire.
Seriously, feeling like a special edition TMNT action figure!(really, that's awesome.)
Take the short time to read what Matt Brennan of Indiewire had to say about the festival and his favorite films!

Days and no more counting
The LA Film Prize is just days away and I sure am happy about that. I'm ready to watch, to be entertained, and to win! Right?! Who's with me on that? (Probably not the other 19 films)
The week is stressful. If stressful involves me dressing as a Pink Elephant and running around town and into bars singing the glory of my film. (I don't actually sing, but that would be pretty cool.)
I hope everyone comes out to the festival, for I'm sure fun will be had!
In case you know nothing about what I'm talking about: click
my short film, "I'm Sorry For..." and if you haven't "liked" the short, for the love of chocolate, do so!
As the week continues, keep your eyes open for some pretty interesting marketing for the short. Till then, enjoy some
Elephant in a Bar pictures!

I'm Sorry For....Blog style
The past month has seen me working out of town on a movie, finishing my short film, and awaiting a storm that never hit. (Stupid sprinkles of jr. rain. Grow up) Bygones.
As I have stated, my short film has made it into the top 20 film festival. Bledska Works is in the running for money! yay.
Be sure to keep up with all activities via facebook.

On to Big Brother. Yes, I can't believe I was able to write all those sentences without once referencing Dan's most epic Big Brother move of. all. time. Superb reality television.
Last summer I became obsessed with Dance Moms. This summer, I'm worse. I have to do jaw exercises after each episode to avoid soreness because my mouth hangs open for 43 minutes. Spectacular Entertainment.
Season 1 of Homeland has cemented itself in my brain vault as the most surprising, riveting, edge of the couch, can't get another drink cause I don't want to miss anything smash hit. So you can imagine my excitment when I saw the trailer for season 2. Oh holy hell am I excited.
So today, I leave you with that: I shouldn't have to say this, but, spoilers below. If you haven't watched all of season 1 or none of it then don't click play.
Happy watching.

And the Adventure carries on....
Filming went well, better and smoother than my anxious needs could have anticipated. I'm so very pleased and look forward to seeing it all come together as a story during the upcoming editing process. Updates along way ;)
Fiona Apple released her album today and I've been heavily sedated by her voice and lyrics. She stands in that female hero realm, hanging with the likes of Dorothy Parker, Ayn Rand, and Ani Difranco. That would be a round table discussion that I would literally die for.
As for Fiona's album, I'm over joyed and in love.
I don't "review" music well. It's all about how it makes me feel. And Fiona always makes me swell, with an emotionality that only her music can do.
I am happy to know that I'll be spending my summer with her.
"I'm a tulip in a cup
I stand no chance of growing up
I'm resigned to sail on through
In the wake of tales of you
I root for you, I love you"

At the End of the Day
Tomorrow is Day 1 of the short "I'm Sorry For..." in which I wrote and am directing. Preproduction has gone well and everyone's support (donations) have been so wonderful. Rob and I feel blessed to have so much feed back.
Keep us in mind this weekend as we shoot.
All should (will) go smoothly and be freakin' awesome!!!!!!!!!

On the Verge...Happiness, mental explosion....you choose
So much is happening and I've had little time to tell you all.
First, Fiona Apple's music video for Every Single Night is now out!
Click HERE to watch her perfection in action. You may have to watch it twice :)
Second. True Blood starts tonight. I'm just twitching in my pants due to the excitement.
Third. Have you all been watching Veep? Julia Louis-Dreyfus literally keeps getting better, especially when she gets to say Fuck a lot. If you have missed this show, watch re-runs, download it on iTunes, buy the season when available. It will be worth your time. Promise.
Fourth. I'm shooting a short in 5 days and have been in pre-production with my Bledska Works partner, Rob. Stress might be involved. A bit. But mostly I'm damn excited. The short is called "I'm Sorry For..." It's a dark comedy.
My posts may be slowed down this week as I endure the last leg before shooting begins. Wish me luck.
Or just visit our Indiegogo site and donate money. :)
